For certain there are several ways we can create moments and enjoy the month. Months pass by super-fast which says to me we need to acknowledge the moments we have. Being in the moment is one of the most exhilarating things we can do. Realizing that every day isn’t promised will in fact help in taking moments to be still. See, being still is not, not producing, progressing, or living out your dream.

On the contrary, it is more of becoming content, knowing who you are, embracing the season you’re in, and strategically planning for your future and accepting the process.

Being still is more like:

·       smelling the roses

·       taking a walk

·       watching your favorite show

·       enjoying the moment

·       holding hands

·       kissing your spouse

·       taking a vacation

·       gardening

·       cooking

·       exercising

·       talking with your children

·       talking with your spouse

·       calling a close friend

·       checking in on elderly family members

·       polishing your nails

·       giving yourself a facial

·       take a nice relaxing bubble bath

·       getting your hair and nails done

·       going shopping with friends

·       enjoying a day out with friends

·       lunch and shopping on the square

·       hang out in the yard with your dogs

·       planning a trip to see someone you love

·       signing up to serve at church

·       going to bed early to get a good night’s rest

·       spending quality time with Jesus

·       reading his word

·       welcoming his presence in your home, your car, your workplace

Working is a blessing!! The word clearly states if a man doesn’t work, he won’t eat.(2 The 3:10) We should work to support our families. However, balance is needed to support our mental health and living a full life.

There is a saying, “all work and no play makes Donnice (your name) a very dull girl.”

(Phil4:11) “I’ve learned to be content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”

(1The5:18) “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

“But godliness actually is a source of great gain when accompanied by contentment that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the sufficiency of God.” (1Tim6:6-8)

Being still and enjoying the moment requires we realize our sufficiency is found in God and resting “right” there. Resting in this assurance of his “all” sufficiency, we then gain the ability to be content.

(2 Cor 12:9) “ but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me].

Which explains, God’s grace is enough to sustain believers, even in our weaknesses and trials.

This biblical embodiment is that human sufficiency is derived from God, not personal abilities, or resources.

Lastly, there is sufficiency in Christ in Col 2:10:  “And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” This verse that believers find their sufficiency in Christ, who fulfils all spiritual needs and empowers them to live according to God’s will.

Greek meaning of Sufficiency: adequate, considerable, competent, worthy

The pleasures Jesus provides for us to partake are locked in His sufficiency. Knowing and trusting in Jesus give us a rest in our souls that produces faith. See, “faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb 11:1)  And, “it is impossible to please God without faith.” ( Heb 11:6)

The very faith we believe in rely on, depend on is left in the hands of God. He is the all sufficient one. The one who will and has already provided for us.

We have the ability to bring heaven here on earth, in our life. Through our trust and total reliance on Jesus. Gives us the freedom and liberty to enjoy the precious gift of life.

Command your day, command your month, speak life to every situation and wait for the results to show up in your life in a mighty way. Find fulfillment in the mundane. Those things that you do daily. Acknowledge where you are and how far you have come, and trust God for the rest.

Declare from this day forth you will live out God’s will for your life, and watch fulfillment, joy, peace, (peace of mind), love, patience, humility, gentleness, longsuffering (especially with others), faithfulness, goodness, kindness, and self-control become a huge part of who you are. (2Cor5:22-2)

When we command our month to line up with God’s will, we give room for him to reveal himself in our situation. We don’t miss out on seeing his hand at work, we become sensitive to the promptings of God. Lastly, but certainly not less important, we can be used by him in a mighty way…surrendered to his process.

Make the best of your month, your year, your week, your day and your moments.
