Confess the Word! Change your World!

Are you dealing with issues that are beyond your control? Are you dealing with things that are causing you anxiety?

Whether you’re believing God for healing, peace, provision, or spiritual growth, family members, new job, or vison for your life, confessions will help you speak truth over your situation and build your faith through God’s Word.

Our circumstances don’t determine the outcome.

The truth in the word of God is what determines the outcome.

Confessions are speaking the word of God over your life and the lives of those you love. Confessions lead to a closer relationship and walk with Jesus. Confessions bring clarity to issues and areas in your life which may seem uncertain. Through speaking the truth in the word of God over your situation you gain so much insight.

God will begin to speak to you through building a closer relationship with Him.

Benefits in Writing Confessions:

Joyce Meyers provides guidance on writing Confessions:

Based in the truth of the Word of God

I am a new creature in Christ: old things have passed away, behold, all things are new.
—
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper, but every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I shall show to be in the wrong.
—
Isaiah 54:17 (NIV)

I am a believer not a doubter.
—
Mark 5:36 (NIV)

I cast all my care on the Lord for He cares for me.
—
1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

I do not have a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
—
2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)

David was an advocate speaker of confessions. He petititoned God to come and participate in every area of his life.

Confessions are sincere prayers and petitions to God.

Story: Psalm 25 One of David’s confessions:

In you, LORD my God, I put my trust.

2 I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.

3 No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

4 Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.

5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

6 Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from old.

7 Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, LORD, are good.

The necessary steps in writing out Confessions.

Let’s get into it:

1st ) Spend some time with Jesus, pray asking questions about what your confessions should be.

(remember you are standing in faith on the word of God)

2nd) Type out or write out things that are heavy on your heart, that you’re concerned about:

3rd) Align scripture with your request.

These are a list of prompts for your confessions:

Fears you need to overcome

Doubt

Peace in your home

Marriage on one accord

Believing God for your spouse

Believing God for a healing

Believing in salvation for someone you love

Believing that God would give you clarity on your purpose.

Trusting God for your finances to increase

Believing God for debt free life

Believing God for your children and your children’s children to be blessed/ generational blessings

Believing God for long life for you, your household, those you love, parents and grandparents

See, the point of confessions is to pray what God has shown you and revealed in His word. Confessions are reminders to yourself of the promises of God.

Confessions reinforce our dependence on him and more importantly, how to trust in him. Through our confessions of faith, we’re able to take moments with Jesus recognizing him, resting in him and ruling in him.
