Trust Will Increase Your Faith

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

“Whenever I am afraid,
I will trust in You.
 In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4)

“So, then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

(Isaiah 26:3) “You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.”

Joyce Meyers said, “Trusting God is simply believing that He loves you and knowing He is good, He has the power to help you, and He wants to help you. In John 15:5, Jesus says that apart from Him, we can do nothing. We need to lean on Him for help with everything in our lives. God wants us to put Him first in our lives. He wants us to put our confidence and trust in Him, all the time, in everything.

Faith and trust cannot be done without each other. We must trust in order to have faith. You can’t have faith without trusting. Trusting in the word of God, and the work of God. The completed work He has already accomplished on calvary. This is where our trust lies. In the promises of God. Our reliance on him comes from our trust in Him, therefore increasing our faith in Him.

 We trust in the word of God so that our faith increases. Spending time with Jesus will increase our faith. Increase our leniency on the creator of the universe,

*The way maker

*The wheel inside of a wheel

*The all breasted (El Shaddai-God Almighty) one who, sustains, protects, and is completely sufficient

*The Omniscient (All-Knowing) 

*Omnipresent (All-Present)

* Omnipotent (All Powerful)

 *The everlasting Father

*The Great I am

*The majestic; name above every name; the only true and living God

*The loving; the faithful

*The magnificent

*The good, good Father that He is

to name a few.

This is who we put our faith and trust in…

The one who knows the beginning before the end.

Trusting in God will lead us to a faith filled life!

Our reliance on God increases when we are in the center of his Will. The center of His will isn’t void of problems, it’s quite the contrary. The center of His will is solidified when we are surrendered to His plan for our lives. Which comes with an expectation, “And do not be conformed to this world; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” ( Romans 12:2)

See, His will is centered around his word. The more we read and understand His words we begin to grasp his Will. The more we begin to trust His path and have faith in His plan. Accepting God’s Will can be challenging to say the least, but trusting the process is well worth whatever He desires to do in our lives.

Remember this part...it’s His will not our Will.

We have to get in alignment with His Will for our lives. The word of God clearly states. “Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

Also, remember there is a reward connected to our obedience in lining up with His Will. Hebrews. 11:6 says, He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Increase happens through our relationship with the father. When we connect with Jesus’ things become clearer and understanding begins to flood our life.

Now, please be mindful that Jesus may not give us all the information at one time, however we can trust his processes and have faith that produces, the word mentions, “faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)

Faith grows when we stop relying only on what we can see and choose to believe that God knows what is best.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb 11:1)

Trust is an act of faith.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3)

Trust is the muscle we use to build our faith.

Faith is directly connected to God. The word states, “But without Faith it is impossible to please Him” (Heb 11:6)

“Then He (Jesus) got into the boat and his disciples followed him.  Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” (Matthew 8:23-27)

The trust in this passage is when they called on Jesus, and He calmed the winds and the waves.

The faith piece is their faith increased, as they asked, “, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

Our trust is in built in realizing his love and kindness, His character, through His consistency in our lives.

Our faith is built in the experiences we have with His faithfulness toward us.

So, let today be the day you learn to trust in who Jesus is and watch your faith increase through your relationship with him.

Jesus, give me the heart and mind to trust you while increasing my faith in your promises. Thank you for thinking of me and knowing what I am experiencing giving me the faith to trust you in every season.
